Gibraltar Overview

Imagine a surface that's as durable as it is beautiful. Gibraltar® is a surface that allows you to create the look and design you've always wanted. These half-inch thick, 100% acrylic based surface products are solid, nonporous and do not require sealing. Their naturally resistant to heat, mold, mildew and most stains, even tough stains are easily buffed away. They're renewable and repairable -- scratches are easily repaired. Featuring inconspicuous, waterproof seams ideal for custom designs like drain boards or coordinating seamlessly with sinks and bowls. Gibraltar® is approved by the FDA and NSF International for food contact and preparation areas. They are also backed by a Residential 10-year installed, transferable warranty.

Visual Appearance

• Gibraltar solid surface countertops are color consistent, and are available in a wide range of colors and patterns.

Seams

Gibraltar Solid Surfaces

• Gibraltar installations may necessitate that seams be used to achieve the ordered countertop project from one or more slabs or pieces. The layout of your kitchen and other factors including but not limited to transportability will determine the number and location of seams.
• Seams will be inconspicuous and virtually invisible.
• Seams will be at the discretion of the measurer or measure team performing the on-site measurement on behalf of e-counters.com.

Overhang

Gibraltar Solid Surfaces

• The maximum overhang that Gibraltar countertops can extend beyond the cabinetry or supporting structure is 8-12” depending on the specific configuration.
• Your measurer will advise you at the time of the measurement whether supports will be needed and what you will need to have in place before the time of the installation appointment.

Decking

Gibraltar Solid Surfaces

• Gibraltar countertops can rest directly on cabinetry, and do not require plywood decking between the countertops and cabinets.

Care and Maintenance

Gibraltar Solid Surfaces

• Gibraltar can be cleaned with soap and water or common household cleaners.
• Gibraltar countertops do not need to be sealed.
• If Gibraltar countertops get scratched, the scratches can usually be buffed out by lightly sanding the surface.

Sinks

Gibraltar Solid Surfaces

• Sink styles that can be used with Gibraltar countertops include solid surface sinks, under-mount and top-mount stainless steel sinks, cast iron sinks, apron-style sinks, and vessel sinks.
• Integrated sinks where the sink and countertop are one piece are possible with Corian.
